Branding for Yellow

When we walk into a flower store, we hope to see a flower that might fit the occasion. To recognize it among a thousand and understand that this is exactly what we need. This raging uncertainty is familiar to many – what if asters are given on a different occasion, maybe classy roses are still better?

Inspired by Ray Bradbury’s short story “Dandelion Wine”, we decided that dandelion in our identity is more than welcome. Dandelion is an eternal flower, each element of which carries life. As it fades, it unfolds its umbrella and carries the seed into the field to give new life. We started by creating a visual system of simple geometric shapes to symbolize the emotions we are trying to express when we give someone a flower. In this project, we have shaped emotion by integrating into geometry what is sometimes easier to express with a flower than with words. We chose nine emotions to represent: love, passion, gratitude, hope, joy, delight, support, empathy, apology. We divided all these emotions into the elements of the flower itself: pollen, the bed for the achene, the receptacle, the inflorescence, the stamen, the corolla, the achene, and the flower itself.
All these elements can be shown in the identity both in an independent variation and in tandem.
We have developed a guide for SMM, in which we have made a selection of flowers for different occasions. Also, the manager specifies on what occasion the bouquet will be given, and based on the occasion, the necessary element in the wrapper and postcard will be used.
